Back when this site -- under the name Griffon's Aerie -- used to serve as a non-commercial outlet for my broad creative endeavors, I publshed a series of monthly "Dispatches" on a variety of subjects related to roleplaying games. Given my background working for West End Games in the mid- to late 1990s and my work on the D6 version of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, several of those "Dispatches" discussed the D6 System, Star War game products, and other related subjects. Roleplaying game website discusion boards periodically raise questions about the D6 version of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game -- "Which edition of the D6 Star Wars RPG is the best?" and "What are the most essential supplements for my Star Wars game?" remain the most popular. When I spot these discussions and have a moment to chime in, I usually offer a short distillation of my previous articles expressing my opinions on the subject. Someone recently tried referring to an old D6 "Dispatch" and couldn't find it, so he dropped me an e-mail, asked where he could find the information, and quietly convinced me that the Griffon Publishing Studio website should offer some of my D6 resources from the past, especially given my past involvement with the D6 System and my continued use of it in my own games. Here are some links to the few D6 resources I posted back on the old Griffon's Aerie site: * A discussion of the differences between the three editions of the D6 Star Wars RPG. * My Top 10 Most Influential D6 Star Wars RPG Products. * A two-part history of the D6 System. * A review of the D6 Adventure rulebook published by WEG as part of Purgatory Publishing. * "Dueling Blades," alternate D6 dueling rules (with lightsaber combat in mind).

"This is called a Griffin because it is a winged quadruped. This kind of wild animal is born in Hyperborean parts, or in mountains. All its bodily members are like a lion's, but its wings and mask are like an eagle's. It is vehemently hostile to horses. But it will also tear to pieces any human beings which it happens to come across." -- The Book of Beasts, translated
