Occasionally someone captures Schweig's gaming exploits on film (or, in a sign of the times, in digital format). This gallery offers a few snapshots from Schweig's gaming life: a few convention appearances, some diorama and miniatures work, and a few snippets of historical miniatures wargaming (one of Schweig's many varied interests).

Pulp Egypt

Schweig has a small assortment of miniatures and diorama pieces he sometimes uses when running Pulp Egypt games at conventions. He photographed several encounters to see how all the elements might work together.

A high priest of Sobek uses his magical powers to summon two avatars of his god to deal with meddling Major Broomhall, who stumbled upon the priest's plans while exploring a desert oasis.
The Hartwell College expedition prepares camp near a pair of ancient statues.
The expedition discovers a temple of Bastet, complete with feline priestess and her two leonine guardians.
Two crocodilian avatars of Sobek emerge from the ruins of an oasis temple to defend it against intruders -- infiltrators from an elite Nazi desert force sent to recover ancient artifacts.
Avatars of Sobek confront animated Anubis statues in an attempt to usurp control over a temple of the Jackal god.
Professor Hamilton, intent on studying his notes in camp, remains unaware than one of his mummified subjects has returned from the dead!
The expedition members confront a giant cobra guarding the ruined Temple of Anubis!
Elite Nazi desert commandos attack the animated Anubis statues guarding the temple.
Schweig designed and built most of the set pieces, but the miniatures come from a variety of manufacturers who create minis perfectly suited to Pulp Egypt adventures. Crocodile GamesWargods of Aegyptus line provides the Priest of Horus (the Priest of Sobek above), Priestess of Bast, Sebeki Warriors (the avatars of Sobek), and the Male and Female Lion Prowling. Armourcast created the ruined Egyptian columns and sarcophagi. Most of the expedition members came from RAFM's Call of Cthulhu miniatures line and old Indiana Jones miniatures created by SimTac. The elite Nazi desert commandos come from Battle Honors Afrika Korps Rifle Squad Advancing. Last but not least, Reaper Miniatures supports several lines of Egyptian-themed minis, including the Egyptian statues of Anubis and Sobek, the Anubis Guard, the Egyptian Jackal and Cat Statues, and Mummy Rising.

"This is called a Griffin because it is a winged quadruped. This kind of wild animal is born in Hyperborean parts, or in mountains. All its bodily members are like a lion's, but its wings and mask are like an eagle's. It is vehemently hostile to horses. But it will also tear to pieces any human beings which it happens to come across."
